I just finished The Turning of Anne Merrick which I selected from a local Barnes and Noble because your writing style pulled me in. If I have no current recommendation for reading, I browse by reading 4-5 pages and make a decision to read (or not). Your writing style beautifully illustrated a sense of place and internal reflection. The historic setting and role of a women in intelligence, were an extra bonus. I look forward to reading more. I am excited! I remember reading your first book shortly after it first came out and realizing it was the best book I had read in years. For someone who reads a lot, it is inevitable that most of the books I read are in the “ok” category. What a pleasant surprise to find an author of your caliber that slides my reading experience into the excellent category. Cannot wait for number three!
